Bishop Noll Institute Completes Digital Learning Center Renovation

August 10, 2009 - Hammond, IND – Bishop Noll Institute (BNI) has completed its three year Digital Learning Center (DLC) with the final phase accomplished this summer.  The renovations consisted of electrical upgrades, installing a Smartboard and a digital projector, and a fresh coat of paint in thirty nine classrooms and 5 computer labs.  There are also more than 300 Toshiba laptops computers in use by the students at Noll.  This three year project commenced in January of 2007 with the creation of our very first model classroom as we introduced the concept of the Bishop Noll Prep Academy to the public. The completion of all this work has placed Noll on top for technology in a premiere college prep school in Northwest Indiana. Lisa N. Woodruff, Director of Institutional Advancement shared her thoughts on the DLC project, “While the DLC project cost more than $400,000 over nearly three years, it could not have happened with out the leadership of our Board of Trustees, our generous alumni community, local foundations and communities and of course our current families who volunteered hundreds of hours to see that the work was completed by last week.  This was a significant undertaking for our school and our community and we are so pleased for our students and their families and the impact it will make on them.”
